A contract opportunity is available for a pharmacist to support central pharmacy operations during the evening shift in a hospital setting. This role primarily focuses on medication product verification, utilizing the EPIC electronic medical record system, and coordinating technician workflow to maintain efficient pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities include verifying medications, kits, crash carts, prepackaged items, and ensuring code carts are restocked correctly. The pharmacist will oversee the workflow of pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and redirection as needed, but will not have direct supervisory responsibilities. Collaboration with other pharmacists who focus on order review within the electronic health record is part of the role.

Key details:

• Shift: Evenings, 2:30 pm to 12:30 am, working 7 days on/7 days off (Thursday through Wednesday), with guaranteed 36 hours weekly (hours may vary but will be communicated weekly)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks with a strong possibility of extension

Qualifications:

• Missouri Pharmacist license required
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred; new graduates will be considered

Training for this position will last approximately 2 to 3 weeks, tailored to the pharmacist’s experience and capability, focusing on product verification processes.
