A travel night shift pharmacist role is available at a 120-bed Level III trauma center in Norfolk, NE. This contract position offers an opportunity to provide critical pharmacy services in a fast-paced hospital setting with dedicated pharmacy technician support during overnight hours. The assignment is slated to begin ASAP, with a duration of 13 weeks or longer.

Schedule:

• 7 days on, 7 days off (Wednesday to Tuesday)
• Night shift: 8 PM to 7 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate and verify medication orders accurately
• Perform kinetic dosing assessments to optimize therapy
• Check medications prior to distribution ensuring safety and compliance
• Respond promptly to nursing staff inquiries regarding medications and protocols
• Oversee all compounding activities occurring during night hours
• Manage outpatient prescription filling for emergency department patients overnight

Required Qualifications:

• Active Nebraska pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Comfortable working night shifts independently with pharmacy tech support
• Previous experience with EPIC electronic medical records preferred, but training will be provided if needed
