An opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy services at a large Level I Trauma Center with 1500 beds. This role focuses on the Children's Hospital Pharmacy, providing clinical and operational support across pediatric and women's health areas. The position offers a flexible shift schedule covering days or evenings based on departmental needs.

Location: North Haven, CT

Shift Schedule:

  • 5x8-hour shifts, days or evenings, depending on department needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services in inpatient pediatric and women's health units
  • Participate in medication management and stewardship in collaboration with healthcare teams
  • Manage operational aspects such as dispensing, sterile processing, or serving as Pharmacist in Charge as per experience
  • Utilize pharmacy technologies including EPIC and Pyxis for medication distribution and documentation

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
  • PGY1 residency training preferred; 2-3 years of experience acceptable if not residency trained
  • Active Connecticut pharmacist license
  • Familiarity with pediatric and women's health pharmacy practices is highly valued
  • Proficient in electronic health records and automated dispensing systems such as EPIC and Pyxis
