An opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy services at a large Level I Trauma Center with 1500 beds. This role focuses on the Children's Hospital Pharmacy, providing clinical and operational support across pediatric and women's health areas. The position offers a flexible shift schedule covering days or evenings based on departmental needs.
Location: North Haven, CT
Shift Schedule:
- 5x8-hour shifts, days or evenings, depending on department needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical pharmacy services in inpatient pediatric and women's health units
- Participate in medication management and stewardship in collaboration with healthcare teams
- Manage operational aspects such as dispensing, sterile processing, or serving as Pharmacist in Charge as per experience
- Utilize pharmacy technologies including EPIC and Pyxis for medication distribution and documentation
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
- PGY1 residency training preferred; 2-3 years of experience acceptable if not residency trained
- Active Connecticut pharmacist license
- Familiarity with pediatric and women's health pharmacy practices is highly valued
- Proficient in electronic health records and automated dispensing systems such as EPIC and Pyxis
