Join a progressive, state-of-the-art teaching hospital known for excellence in trauma and pediatric care. This 359-bed Level 1 Trauma Center with a Level 4 NICU offers a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a passionate staff dedicated to delivering high-quality inpatient pharmacy services.
Position Overview: This role is ideal for a pharmacist with at least 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience, including IV pharmacy skills or IV certification. The focus is on inpatient care within a busy hospital setting that values accuracy, collaboration, and patient safety.
Schedule:
- Night shift option: Thursday-Saturday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM; Sunday-Wednesday, 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekend option: Friday-Sunday, 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
- Rotation: 7 nights on, 7 nights off (starting Thursday night) with no on-call responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and verify inpatient medication orders, focusing on intravenous therapies
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy for trauma and pediatric patients
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and maintaining high safety standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid pharmacist licensure
- Minimum 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience required
- IV pharmacy experience or IV certification mandatory
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based hospital environment
- Must test negative for nicotine
