Job Type: Contract
Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts with variable start times (7:00 am, 8:00 am, 9:00 am, 10:00 am, or 11:00 am)
  • Variable days of the week including weekends
  • Holiday shifts as needed, typically shorter (4-5 hours)
  • Shift scheduling respects rest time between shifts (e.g., no 11 am followed by 7 am)

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process and verify hospital pharmacy orders
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe and effective medication use
  • Maintain compliance with hospital procedures and regulations
  • Provide expert pharmaceutical advice and support in a fast-paced hospital environment

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting
  • Proficient with standard hospital pharmacy order processing and product verification
  • Experience with Cerner pharmacy system preferred
  • Active Alaska pharmacist license required or temporary license acceptable
  • Candidates without an active AK license at submission must apply within 24 hours of acceptance if offered
