Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process and verify standard hospital pharmacy orders to ensure patient safety
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to support medication management and therapy decisions
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
  • Adapt to variable shift start times ranging from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM with an 8-hour duration, including weekends and occasional holiday shifts (typically 4-5 hours)
  • Provide consistent, high-quality pharmaceutical care within a dynamic hospital environment

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience in a hospital setting
  • Familiarity with standard hospital pharmacy order processing and product verification
  • Experience with Cerner pharmacy systems is preferred
  • Must hold an active AK Pharmacist license or obtain a temporary license; candidates without an active license must apply within 24 hours of offer acceptance

Location and Schedule:

  • North Pole, Alaska
  • 8-hour shifts with start times between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM, variable days including weekends
  • Holiday shifts as needed, typically shorter durations of 4-5 hours
