A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in North Pole, Alaska, offering a dynamic role in a hospital pharmacy setting. This contract position requires a minimum of one year of pharmacist experience, specifically within hospital environments where you will manage standard pharmacy orders and product verification processes. Experience with Cerner software is preferred but not mandatory.

Location: North Pole, AK
Schedule / Hours:

• 8-hour shifts with variable start times at 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, or 11:00 AM
• Shift days vary throughout the week, including weekends
• Shifts are sequenced to avoid an 11:00 AM shift followed immediately by a 7:00 AM shift
• Holiday shifts as needed, typically shorter (4-5 hours)

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and verify hospital pharmacy orders
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure safe and effective medication use
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Utilize Cerner or similar pharmacy management systems to support workflow (preferred)
• Provide reliable pharmacy services during assigned shifts, including holidays

Qualifications:

• Active Alaska Pharmacist license or temporary AK license (must apply within 24 hours of job acceptance if not currently licensed)
• Minimum one year of hospital pharmacist experience
• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy protocols, standard ordering, and product verification
• Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays as required
