Pharmacist in North Pole, AK

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist with hospital experience to serve in a dynamic hospital environment in North Pole, AK. This contract position offers the chance to work variable 8-hour shifts with flexible start times ranging from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, including weekends. Holiday shifts, when required, are typically shorter (4-5 hours).

Schedule Highlights:

• 8-hour shifts, start times of 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, or 11:00 AM
• Variable days including weekends
• Typical scheduling avoids back-to-back early shifts (e.g., 11 AM shift not followed by 7 AM shift)
• Holiday shifts as needed, shorter duration

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and process hospital pharmacy orders in compliance with protocols
• Ensure product accuracy and safety in medication dispensing
• Collaborate closely with medical and pharmacy teams to optimize patient care

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience within a hospital setting
• Proficiency with standard hospital pharmacy orders and product verification
• Experience with Cerner pharmacy systems preferred
• Active Alaska Pharmacist license or eligibility for a temporary AK license required
• Candidates without an active AK license at application must be prepared to apply within 24 hours of job offer acceptance
