A leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Operations Supervisor with expertise in acute care hospital pharmacy. This contract role is based in Oakland, CA, offering a Monday through Friday day shift schedule with no weekend work. The position involves overseeing pharmacy operations with a focus on workflow management, staff scheduling, policy review, and team training, particularly in IV competencies and USP standards. Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC, is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Manage pharmacy operations and workflow efficiently.
• Oversee scheduling and coordinate team activities.
• Conduct policy reviews and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide training and support on IV competencies and USP guidelines.
• Lead and run team meetings to ensure clear communication.
• Utilize software tools including Excel, Word, and BD suite (Pyxis, PK, C2 Safe) for operational support.

Qualifications:

• Licensure as a pharmacist in California is required.
• Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy preferred; Pharm.D. degree or completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program is advantageous.
• Minimum two years of leadership experience in an acute care hospital pharmacy setting.
• Strong skills in scheduling, managing workflow, and policy implementation.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to run effective meetings.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system.
