A leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Operations Supervisor in Oakland, CA. This contract role is set to start ASAP with an initial duration of 13 weeks or longer. The position offers a Monday through Friday day shift schedule with no weekend work, allowing for a balanced workweek. The pharmacy environment utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical record system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient scheduling
  • Manage policy review and compliance according to hospital and regulatory standards
  • Lead team meetings and provide training, particularly in IV competencies
  • Support adherence to USP standards within pharmacy practices
  • Utilize software tools including Excel, Word, BD suite (PK, Pyxis, C2 Safe) for operational oversight

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Licensure as a pharmacist in the State of California is mandatory
  • Educational background sufficient for California pharmacist licensure; preference for Pharm.D. degree or completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program
  • Minimum of two years of leadership experience in an acute care hospital pharmacy setting
  • Strong skills in workflow management, scheduling, and detail-oriented tasks
  • Effective communication and team leadership capabilities
