A well-established independent community pharmacy in Ogallala, Nebraska, is seeking a full-time pharmacist to support an increasing prescription volume driven by local pharmacy closures. This travel opportunity offers a 13-week assignment with potential for contract, temp-to-perm, or permanent placement. The pharmacy is expanding with a second location opening soon, providing growth options for candidates interested in career stability in this community-focused environment.

Location: Ogallala, NE
Schedule:

  • 1st Shift: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday
  • Some weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately and ensure safe delivery under manager supervision
  • Counsel and advise patients regarding their medication regimens
  • Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints following company policies
  • Maintain stock levels and manage controlled drug records and inventories
  • Resolve insurance and third-party coverage issues to facilitate patient access
  • Administer immunizations to patients

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active, clear pharmacist license in the state of Nebraska
  • Minimum of one year retail pharmacy experience required
  • Proven skills in handling high prescription volumes (10,000+ monthly) preferred
  • Familiarity with Liberty Rx dispensing software a plus
  • Able to work effectively within a well-trained team, supporting a robust patient load
