Travel Pharmacist in Ogallala, NE

A well-established independent community pharmacy in Ogallala, Nebraska is seeking a skilled pharmacist to support their growing prescription volume. This travel assignment offers the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team in a dynamic retail environment with strong community ties. The pharmacy has absorbed prescriptions from several local closures, significantly increasing the patient base, and is preparing to open a second location.

Location: Ogallala, NE
Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday – Friday
• Some weekends as needed

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently under the manager’s supervision
• Counsel patients regarding medication use and regimens
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints following organizational policies
• Maintain inventory and controlled substance records
• Resolve insurance and third-party coverage issues
• Administer immunizations as required

Qualifications:

• Active and clear pharmacist license in Nebraska
• Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience
• Comfort with retail pharmacy operations and patient counseling
• Proficient with Liberty Rx software (or ability to quickly learn)

Work Environment:

• Collaborative team with 2 pharmacists on weekdays and 3 on Sundays
• Supportive staff including 5 experienced technicians, many with over 12 years tenure
• High volume pharmacy processing over 10,000 prescriptions per month

This opportunity is available as a 13-week travel assignment with options for contract, temp-to-perm, or permanent placement.
