Job Description

An outstanding long-term federal opportunity is available for an Ambulatory Care Pharmacist supporting diabetes management services in the Oklahoma City market. This position offers exceptional stability, a weekday schedule, and the unique benefit of accepting any active U.S. Pharmacist license.

Responsibilities
Process, verify, fill, and dispense prescriptions while providing comprehensive patient counseling
Manage diabetes therapy under a collaborative practice agreement using evidence-based guidelines
Interpret continuous glucose monitor (CGM) data and adjust medication therapy as appropriate
Supervise pharmacy support personnel and collaborate with the healthcare team


Work Hours
8-hour day shifts
Monday through Friday
Some travel required to nearby clinic locations
1-year assignment with potential for four additional 1-year extensions


Experience
Experience in ambulatory care, outpatient, or clinical pharmacy preferred
Diabetes management experience is highly desirable
Experience counseling patients on medication therapy
Collaborative practice experience is a plus


Education
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)


Other Qualifications
Any active U.S. Pharmacist License accepted
BCACP or BCPS certification OR completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
Strong patient counseling and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to travel between nearby clinic locations as needed
