Long Term Care Pharmacist in Olathe, KS

A direct hire Pharmacist opportunity is available with a specialized long-term care (LTC) and intellectual developmental disorder (IDD) pharmacy located in the Olathe, KS area. This role primarily involves prescription verification and checking duties (PV2), with the potential to train for PV1 responsibilities based on aptitude. The position supports LTC pharmacy services with a focus on efficiently managing high prescription volumes.

Location: Olathe, KS

Schedule:

• Flexible shifts covering 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Potential occasional Saturday coverage

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform prescription verification and accuracy checks (PV2)
• Develop skills to manage PV1 duties with training provided
• Support and maintain high-volume prescription processing in an LTC pharmacy environment
• Utilize the Frameworks pharmacy system for daily operations

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Connecticut pharmacist license required
• Experience in long-term care pharmacy preferred, but retail pharmacists with the ability to handle volume are welcome to apply
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription verification
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and occasional weekends
