Pharmacist in Omaha, NE

A pharmacy role is available for a skilled pharmacist to support inpatient behavioral health services. This contract assignment begins on 5/18 and continues until a permanent pharmacist is hired. Shifts are scheduled Saturdays and Sundays, six hours each day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately within the inpatient behavioral health setting.
• Utilize automated dispensing systems efficiently, including repackaging using Milt/Medi-dose or HCL.
• Load medications into automated machines and run restock reports to maintain inventory.
• Provide patient-centered pharmaceutical care and collaborate with healthcare teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and institutional guidelines.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Iowa pharmacist license.
• Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing systems preferred.
• Familiarity with repackaging procedures using Milt/Medi-dose or HCL is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of automated drug loading and restock reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Location:

• Council Bluffs, IA, serving an inpatient behavioral health facility.

Schedule:

• Saturday and Sunday, 6 hours per day.
