Pharmacist - Omaha, NE

Provide expert pharmaceutical care as a Pharmacist in an inpatient behavioral health setting. This contract role begins May 18 and continues until a permanent pharmacist is hired, offering weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays for 6 hours each day. The opportunity is based in Council Bluffs, IA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Manage medication repackaging using systems such as Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL.
• Load medications into automated dispensing machines and execute restock reports to maintain inventory.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication management.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using Omnicell automated systems (preferred).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Iowa Pharmacy License required.
• Experience with Omnicell systems is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with repackaging processes using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL.
• Basic skills in operating automated drug dispensing machines and inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
