Travel Retail Pharmacist in Oneonta, NY

A well-established outpatient retail pharmacy in Cooperstown, New York, is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to support their high-volume operation, dispensing approximately 1,100 prescriptions weekly. This position is ideal for a pharmacist with retail or outpatient pharmacy experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service. Occasional coverage may be required at nearby Oneonta and Delhi locations to accommodate vacation and sick leave.

Location:

• Cooperstown, NY (primary)
• Occasional coverage in Oneonta and Delhi, NY

Employment Type:

• Contract — Full Time

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescriptions in a high-volume outpatient retail setting
• Participate in Meds to Beds program to facilitate hospital patient medication delivery
• Provide immunization services and maintain immunization certifications
• Use PioneerRx pharmacy management system and EPIC EMR for patient demographics and insurance verification
• Deliver exemplary customer service with a patient-focused approach
• Collaborate with pharmacy and healthcare teams to ensure optimal medication management
• Provide occasional coverage at Oneonta and Delhi locations as needed

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing
• Experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy required; high-volume experience preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx and EPIC systems preferred
• Immunization certified or willingness to obtain certification
• Strong customer service skills with a professional and approachable demeanor
• Flexibility to support multiple locations occasionally
