Per Diem Pharmacist - Ooltewah, Tennessee

A reputable independent compounding pharmacy in Ooltewah, TN is seeking a knowledgeable Per Diem Pharmacist to provide vacation coverage with opportunities for ongoing assignments. This role focuses on supervising daily pharmacy operations in a busy setting handling approximately 1,000 compounded prescriptions daily, serving the mail order eye drop department specialized in post-cataract surgery products.

Location: Ooltewah, TN (near Chattanooga)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (lunch break 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM)
• Weekends: Closed
• Initial coverage needed May 27-29, with ongoing per diem opportunities available

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of 5 pharmacy technicians responsible for data entry, prescription fills, phone communications, and routine tasks
• Provide expert guidance and answer clinical or operational questions as they arise
• Supervise the mail order eye drop department, ensuring accurate and timely shipment of three variations of post-cataract surgery eye drops
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy standards

Qualifications:

• Active Tennessee Pharmacist License in good standing
• Minimum 1-2 years of pharmacist experience
• Previous mail order pharmacy experience preferred but not mandatory
• Strong supervisory skills and attention to detail
