Per Diem Pharmacist in Ooltewah, TN

An independent compounding pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to support ongoing vacation coverage needs in the Chattanooga, TN area. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a high-volume, specialized mail order pharmacy with over 1,000 compounds processed daily. Ideal candidates include retired, semi-retired pharmacists or recent graduates looking for flexible scheduling in a focused pharmacy environment.

Location: Ooltewah, TN
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Lunch break from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
• Closed on weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of five pharmacy technicians responsible for data entry, prescription filling, and phone communications
• Answer clinical and operational questions to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
• Oversee the mail order eye drop department which processes and ships three varieties of post-cataract surgery eye drops
• Maintain adherence to pharmacy policies and standards for compounded medications

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Tennessee Pharmacist License in good standing
• Minimum 1-2 years of pharmacist experience preferred
• Mail order pharmacy experience is a plus but not mandatory
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage the technician team
