Long Term Care Pharmacist in Overland Park, KS

A Long-Term Care (LTC) Pharmacist position is available in Overland Park, KS, with a direct hire opportunity at an established LTC/IDD pharmacy. This role primarily involves prescription verification and checking, with the potential to train for additional verification responsibilities depending on aptitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform PV2 tasks, including verification and checking of prescriptions.
• Potential to be trained for PV1 duties as skills develop.
• Manage prescription volume efficiently within the LTC setting.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain high standards of patient care.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Hold a valid Connecticut pharmacist license.
• Prior experience in Long-Term Care pharmacy preferred; retail pharmacists with strong volume management skills will also be considered.
• Familiarity with pharmacy systems such as Frameworks is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work flexible shifts, including 8:00 AM–4:30 PM and 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional Saturday availability.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, with two shift options: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
• Flexible to work both shifts as needed.
• Occasional Saturdays may be required in the future.
