A community hospital just north of a major metropolitan area seeks a dedicated pharmacist for night shift coverage. This is a unique opportunity to join a close-knit 100-bed hospital known for its commitment to quality care. The ideal candidate will provide critical pharmacy services during the night schedule, ensuring seamless medication management and patient safety.

Location: Owasso, OK (near Stillwater, approximately 1–1.5 hours north of Oklahoma City)
Job Type: Contract with strong preference for permanent or temp-to-hire candidates
Schedule: 7 nights on, 7 nights off (night shift)
Technology: Meditech system

Responsibilities

• Verify and process medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff during night shifts
• Perform pharmacokinetic assessments to optimize medication therapies
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to provide consultation on medication management and patient care

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Valid Oklahoma pharmacist license
• Experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of medication distribution systems and clinical pharmacy practices
• Ability to work independently during night shifts and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with the healthcare team
