Pharmacist in Owatonna, MN

A specialty pharmacy opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support long-term care needs. This contract assignment is ideal for professionals with a background in specialty pharmacy services who are skilled in managing medication therapy and providing patient care in long-term care settings.

Location: Owatonna, MN
Duration: 13+ weeks
Hours: 24-40 hours per week
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Some weekends required

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage pharmacy services for long-term care patients
• Verify and dispense medications in compliance with specialty pharmacy protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory standards
• Provide patient education, focusing on medication use and safety
• Maintain immunization services aligned with certification requirements

Qualifications:

• PharmD degree or equivalent professional pharmacy degree
• Certification in Immunization and CPR required
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) certification preferred
• Previous experience in specialty and long-term care pharmacy settings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with multidisciplinary teams
