Pharmacist - Owen, Wisconsin

This opportunity invites experienced pharmacists to work in a dynamic hospital setting located in rural Northern Wisconsin. Serving a 75-bed hospital, this role offers a unique chance to apply pharmacy expertise across diverse inpatient and outpatient services.

Schedule and Contract Details:

• Contract position starting ASAP
• 13 weeks plus duration
• Primarily 10-hour day shifts
• Occasional 8-hour weekend shifts when rotating
• Work environment includes Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, emergency department, and surgical units

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage multiple tasks within a central inpatient pharmacy environment
• Verify EPIC medication orders and oversee technician activities
• Respond promptly to pharmacist phone inquiries
• Dispense and monitor inpatient and outpatient intravenous therapies, including chemotherapy
• Handle inpatient unit dose medications with accuracy
• Support a fluctuating inpatient census of 30-40 patients

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist licensure
• Experience with EPIC pharmacy system preferred
• Strong ability to multitask and prioritize in fast-paced hospital settings
• Background in inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services, including chemotherapy administration
• Effective communication skills and team collaboration
