This opportunity invites experienced pharmacists to work in a dynamic hospital setting located in rural Northern Wisconsin. Serving a 75-bed hospital, this role offers a unique chance to apply pharmacy expertise across diverse inpatient and outpatient services.
Schedule and Contract Details:
- Contract position starting ASAP
- 13 weeks plus duration
- Primarily 10-hour day shifts
- Occasional 8-hour weekend shifts when rotating
- Work environment includes Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, emergency department, and surgical units
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage multiple tasks within a central inpatient pharmacy environment
- Verify EPIC medication orders and oversee technician activities
- Respond promptly to pharmacist phone inquiries
- Dispense and monitor inpatient and outpatient intravenous therapies, including chemotherapy
- Handle inpatient unit dose medications with accuracy
- Support a fluctuating inpatient census of 30-40 patients
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid pharmacist licensure
- Experience with EPIC pharmacy system preferred
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize in fast-paced hospital settings
- Background in inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services, including chemotherapy administration
- Effective communication skills and team collaboration
