Pharmacist | Owen, Wisconsin

This opportunity involves working as a travel pharmacist in a rural setting within Northern Wisconsin, supporting a 75-bed hospital. The position is a contract-based assignment starting as soon as possible for a duration of 13 weeks or more.

Schedule:

• Primarily 10-hour day shifts
• Rotation through some weekends requiring 8-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple tasks in a central inpatient pharmacy, including verifying EPIC medication orders, reviewing pharmacy technician work, and responding to pharmacist phone inquiries
• Prepare and provide inpatient and outpatient IV medications, inpatient unit dose medications, and outpatient chemotherapy
• Support diverse clinical areas such as Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, emergency department, and inpatient/outpatient surgery
• Maintain accuracy and compliance with pharmacy protocols while supporting an inpatient census typically ranging from 30 to 40 patients

Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with experience in inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings
• Proficiency using EPIC electronic medical records and order verification systems
• Ability to multitask and manage pharmacy workflow efficiently in a hospital environment
• Familiarity with oncology and chemotherapy medication preparation is preferred
• Comfort working in a rural hospital setting and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
