Pharmacist in Oxnard, CA

A contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist at a 300-bed hospital located in Oxnard, CA, within the LA metro area. This role involves working night shifts on a 7-on, 7-off schedule, with hours from approximately 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The hospital uses Cerner and Omnicell systems, providing experience with industry-standard technology.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely in accordance with hospital policies and legal regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy
• Review and verify prescriptions using Cerner/Omnicell IT systems
• Monitor patient responses and communicate any concerns or adverse effects to the medical team
• Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with valid state licensure
• Experience working in a hospital setting preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner and Omnicell systems is a plus
• Strong understanding of medication management and safety protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
