Pharmacist - Oxnard, California

A hospital pharmacy opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support inpatient services at a major medical center in Ventura County. This contract position offers a chance to contribute to high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment, with potential for temp-to-hire.

Responsibilities include:

• Dispensing and verifying medications accurately for inpatient use
• Collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize therapeutic outcomes
• Managing medication distribution and inventory within the hospital pharmacy
• Participating in swing and weekend shifts as needed to ensure continuous pharmacy coverage
• Utilizing electronic medication systems; Cerner experience preferred but training is provided

Qualifications:

• Valid California Pharmacist License is required
• Some previous hospital pharmacy experience desired
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including 10-hour days, swing shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Familiarity with Cerner medication management system is a plus but not mandatory

Location: Ventura County, CA

Schedule:

• Full-time, primarily 4 ten-hour shifts per week
• Variable hours based on department needs

This assignment starts ASAP and runs approximately 3 to 6 months. It offers valuable hospital pharmacy experience and the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role.
