We’re seeking an experienced Clinical Oncology Pharmacy Specialist to join a highly respected health system serving California’s central coast. This role will support both inpatient oncology services and outpatient infusion programs, serving as a subject matter expert across the health system’s oncology service lines. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly clinical oncology pharmacist seeking strong interdisciplinary collaboration in one of the most desirable coastal regions in the country.

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day-Shift
  • Weekend Rotation: None
  • Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
  • Start-Date: ASAP (relocation assistance available). 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive oncology medication management, including therapy selection, monitoring, and adverse event management
  • Verify chemotherapy orders and treatment protocols for safety and accuracy
  • Educate patients and caregivers regarding oncology treatment plans and medication adherence
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses during interdisciplinary rounds
  • Participate in clinical trials and investigational drug management
  • Assist with development of institutional oncology protocols and clinical guidelines
  • Support both inpatient oncology services and outpatient infusion operations

Requirements: 

  • PharmD or BS in Pharmacy
  • California Pharmacist license or willingness to obtain
  • PGY2 Oncology Residency or Oncology Fellowship preferred
  • OR completion of PGY1 plus 3 years of oncology clinical specialist experience
  • OR 5 years of oncology clinical specialist experience
  • BCOP certification preferred

Compensation for this position ranges from $61.00 to $76.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
