Pharmacist - Ozark, Alabama

A night shift pharmacist position is available at a 300-bed hospital in Southeast Alabama. This contract opportunity starts ASAP and offers a 13-week assignment with potential for temp-to-hire consideration. The work schedule consists of 7 consecutive night shifts followed by 7 nights off, from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
• Supervising and coordinating pharmacy technicians
• Consulting with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapies
• Ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory pharmacy standards
• Managing medication distribution and resolving any related issues during night shifts

Qualifications:

• Active Alabama pharmacist license required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Ability to work overnight shifts effectively
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented and committed to patient safety
