A contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support the Acute Care Pharmacy team at a hospital in Ozark, MO. This role focuses on product verification with responsibilities central to coordinating workflow in the central pharmacy during evening shifts. The assignment is set for 13 weeks with a strong possibility of extension.

Location:
Ozark, Missouri
Acute Care Pharmacy, Hospital setting

Schedule:

  • Evenings, 2:30 PM – 12:30 AM
  • 7 days on, 7 days off (Thursday to Wednesday; may vary with guaranteed hours met weekly)
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Verify and check medications, kits, crash carts, prepack items, and other pharmacy products using EPIC EMR system
  • Coordinate the workflow of pharmacy technicians and direct tasks as needed
  • Ensure code carts and medication products like IVs, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens are properly stocked and verified
  • Oversee central pharmacy operations during the shift, working alongside other pharmacists focused more on order review
  • Participate in 2-3 weeks of training tailored to product verification competency

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must hold an active Missouri Pharmacist License
  • Minimum of 1 year experience preferred; new graduates will be considered
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR system desirable

Team Environment:

  • Central pharmacy staffed by 2 pharmacists and 5-6 technicians during evening shifts
  • Primary pharmacist role includes workflow oversight but does not involve direct supervision of staff

Contract Details:

  • 13-week duration with possibility for extension
