Pharmacist | Ozark, Missouri

Pharmacist position available at an acute care hospital in Ozark, MO, offering a unique opportunity to oversee central pharmacy operations on an evening shift schedule. This contract role focuses on medication verification and coordination within a collaborative pharmacy team.

Responsibilities include verifying and checking medications, kits, crash carts, prepack items, and other pharmaceutical products using EPIC dispense prep software. The pharmacist will coordinate workflow in the central pharmacy, ensuring restocked code carts and accuracy of various medication products such as IVs, premade IVs, creams, and insulin pens. You will oversee the workflow of surrounding pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and task prioritization, though this role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Schedule:

• Evenings, 2:30 pm to 12:30 am
• 7 days on, 7 days off (Thursday to Wednesday, may vary)
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Missouri Pharmacist Licensure required
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Proficient with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred
• Prior experience in acute care or hospital pharmacy setting is advantageous

Training for this role will last 2-3 weeks, focused on product verification processes tailored to your proficiency level.
