Pharmacist - Ozark, Missouri

A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to support central pharmacy operations in a hospital setting located in Ozark, MO. This contract role spans approximately 13 weeks with a strong possibility of extension, offering exposure to a dynamic team and hands-on experience with medication verification and workflow coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system for dispense preparation, medication verification, and product checks.
• Verify and check various medication products including IVs, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, crash carts, kits, and prepackaged items.
• Coordinate workflow within the central pharmacy to maintain efficient operations.
• Oversee restocking and accuracy of code carts.
• Direct pharmacy technicians’ workflow as necessary to ensure prioritization of tasks.
• Serve as the primary pharmacist overseeing central pharmacy day-to-day functions, while collaborating with other pharmacists focused on order review via EHR.

Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri Pharmacist Licensure is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.

Training and Work Environment:

• Training period of 2-3 weeks will focus on product verification processes tailored to the pharmacist’s capability.
• The central pharmacy team includes 5 pharmacists and 10 technicians during the day shift, with additional pharmacists and technicians working evenings.
• This role involves leading pharmacy technician workflow without direct supervisory responsibilities.
