An opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to provide night shift coverage in a 200-bed community hospital setting in Florida. This is a contract role designed for a professional adept at managing inpatient pharmacy operations during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital protocols
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow and patient safety
• Perform pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring as needed
• Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff on medication therapies and patient care plans
• Utilize Meditech and Pyxis systems to manage medication dispensing and inventory

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Florida pharmacist license is required
• Prior experience in a hospital inpatient pharmacy environment
• Willingness and ability to work night shifts effectively
• Strong familiarity with Meditech and Pyxis pharmacy systems preferred

Schedule:

• Night shift: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
