A 200-bed community hospital is seeking a night shift pharmacist to support their inpatient care team. This contract role begins ASAP and offers a dynamic schedule of 7 nights on followed by 7 nights off, working 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists with Florida licensure and hospital experience who are comfortable working overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
- Apply pharmacokinetics principles to optimize patient medication regimens
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff regarding medication therapies
- Utilize Meditech and Pyxis systems for medication management and inventory control
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Florida pharmacist license required
- Proven experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy settings
- Comfortable and reliable working the night shift
- Strong communication and clinical judgement skills
- Familiarity with Meditech and Pyxis technologies preferred
Schedule:
- Night shift: 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
