An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to provide travel support in Palo Verde, CA, serving the Emergency Department in a solo pharmacist role. This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in an autonomous setting and have a strong background in hospital inpatient pharmacy practice.

Location: Palo Verde, CA
Job Type: Travel Pharmacist
Duration: 8-10 weeks
Start Date: Early March

Schedule/Hours:

  • Work independently 3 to 4 days per week
  • 12-hour shifts, typically 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Potential for a 7-on/7-off schedule
  • On-call responsibilities required some nights

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary pharmacist supporting the Emergency Department
  • Respond promptly to Code Blue and other urgent clinical events
  • Compound sterile and non-sterile medications as needed
  • Act as a clinical resource for nursing staff and patients
  • Collaborate with laboratory, radiology, and cardiology support services to optimize patient care

Qualifications:

  • Active California Pharmacist license required
  • Hospital inpatient pharmacy experience highly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in sterile and non-sterile compounding
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
