An opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide essential pharmaceutical support at a healthcare facility located in Palo Verde, CA. This travel position offers an 8-10 week assignment beginning in early March, ideal for a professional seeking a dynamic role with both independence and clinical engagement.
Schedule:
- 3 to 4 days per week
- 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Potential for a 7-on/7-off schedule
- Occasional on-call availability required during some nights
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Emergency Department as the sole pharmacist on-site
- Responding rapidly and efficiently to Code Blue events
- Compounding both sterile and non-sterile medications as needed
- Acting as a clinical resource for nursing staff and patient care teams
- Collaborating with support services such as laboratory, radiology, and cardiology to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current California pharmacist license is mandatory
- Hospital inpatient experience is strongly preferred to excel in this environment
- Proven skills in sterile and non-sterile compounding
- Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of pharmaceutical care
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills in urgent care settings
