Pharmacist in Palo Verde, CA

This opportunity offers an eight-week contract in Palo Verde, CA, designed for a skilled pharmacist ready to support a busy Emergency Department. The role demands dedication Thursday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., totaling 48 hours per week, with occasional on-call responsibilities during night hours.

Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmacy support specifically for the Emergency Department.
• Respond promptly and effectively to Code Blue events.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile medications as necessary.
• Serve as a vital clinical resource for nursing staff and patients.
• Collaborate with supporting departments such as laboratory, radiology, and cardiology.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacist license is required.
• Proven experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy settings is strongly preferred.
• Competent in sterile and non-sterile compounding procedures.
• Ability to handle high-pressure clinical situations in an emergency care environment.

Schedule:

• Thursday to Sunday: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (12-hour shifts).
• On-call duties on select nights.
