This opportunity offers an eight-week contract in Palo Verde, CA, designed for a skilled pharmacist ready to support a busy Emergency Department. The role demands dedication Thursday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., totaling 48 hours per week, with occasional on-call responsibilities during night hours.
Responsibilities:
- Provide pharmacy support specifically for the Emergency Department.
- Respond promptly and effectively to Code Blue events.
- Compound sterile and non-sterile medications as necessary.
- Serve as a vital clinical resource for nursing staff and patients.
- Collaborate with supporting departments such as laboratory, radiology, and cardiology.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid California Pharmacist license is required.
- Proven experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy settings is strongly preferred.
- Competent in sterile and non-sterile compounding procedures.
- Ability to handle high-pressure clinical situations in an emergency care environment.
Schedule:
- Thursday to Sunday: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (12-hour shifts).
- On-call duties on select nights.
