This part-time retail pharmacist role offers an ongoing contract opportunity at a grocery store pharmacy located in the Omaha, Nebraska area. The position features a flexible two-week rotating schedule designed to accommodate candidate availability and pharmacy needs, with hours totaling approximately 41 per rotation.

Schedule:

• Week 1:
  • Sunday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Week 2:
  • Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The Pharmacy Manager is open to schedule adjustments as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions and ensure accuracy to maintain patient safety
• Provide patient counseling and medication guidance
• Oversee the pharmacy workflow, supervising technician support
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice
• Deliver exceptional customer service within a retail pharmacy environment

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Nebraska Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and team members
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within the team
• Flexibility to accommodate schedule changes as pharmacy demands evolve
• Experience with McKesson Enterprise is preferred but not required
