Pharmacist - Paradise, CA

A healthcare facility in Northern California seeks experienced Staff Pharmacists to join their pharmacy team. This Level II Trauma Center is committed to delivering person-centered, compassionate care and values collaborative, purpose-driven professionals ready to make a meaningful difference.

Location: Paradise, CA (work site near Chico, CA)
Position Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Full time, 10-hour shifts, varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and nights; no fixed days off

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical judgment and pharmaceutical care consistent with departmental and hospital missions.
• Identify, prevent, and resolve drug-related issues within established policies and regulations.
• Support service excellence initiatives in collaboration with interdisciplinary health teams.
• Operate pharmacy systems (CII Safe/PYXIS) and maintain compliance with federal and state standards.
• Manage workload shifts flexibly, prioritize tasks, and respond promptly to emergencies.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum one year hospital experience preferably in an inpatient, decentralized pharmacy setting.
• Proficient with pharmacy computer programs and Windows operating systems.
• Demonstrated ability to apply drug knowledge and clinical reasoning effectively.

Licensure and Certifications (Minimum Required):

• Licensed Registered Pharmacist in good standing with the State of California.
• ACLS Certification within one year of hire (current staff have until July 31, 2027).
• PALS Certification within one year of hire (current staff have until July 31, 2027).

• Strong independent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication; able to collaborate across departments.
• Adept at managing interruptions and changing schedules with professionalism.
• Capacity to perform essential pharmacy functions while maintaining high standards.
