A healthcare facility on the Central Coast of California is seeking four Travel Pharmacists to support their inpatient pharmacy team. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a dynamic hospital environment with advanced technology systems such as Cerner and Omnicell.
Positions Available:
- Two Day Shift Pharmacists: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
- Two Night Shift Pharmacists: 7 days on, 7 days off schedule (9:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
Assignment Details:
- Location: San Luis Obispo, CA area
- Duration: Minimum 13 weeks with an ASAP start
- Type: Travel assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Order verification and medication dispensing accuracy
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Collaborating with physicians and nurses to optimize patient therapy
- Applying pharmacokinetic principles in clinical decisions
- Ensuring adherence to hospital policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Valid pharmacist license in California
- At least 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
- Proficiency with Cerner and Omnicell systems preferred
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
