A hospital-based pharmacist role is available for a dedicated professional holding a valid Ohio Pharmacy License and hospital experience. This position offers a unique 7-days on/7-days off schedule with nighttime and early morning hours from 8:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working Thursday night through Thursday morning. The role operates as the sole pharmacist on site from 11:30 PM to 6:00 AM with Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) support throughout the night.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately review, interpret, and dispense medication orders and prescriptions
  • Monitor patient medication therapy ensuring therapeutic appropriateness tailored to patient age and condition
  • Maintain compliance with departmental policies, quality improvement programs, and regulatory standards
  • Provide drug information and counseling to patients, families, healthcare providers
  • Support medical emergencies through drug therapy management and medication preparation
  • Coordinate pharmacy technician activities to meet patient care and organizational needs
  • Uphold organizational mission values including empathy, integrity, stewardship, agility, and teamwork

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree from an accredited U.S. pharmacy school
  • Valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing
  • Minimum one year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Commitment to quality patient care, safety, and ongoing professional growth

Work Environment:

  • Medium physical demand including occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills essential; regular interaction with patients and medical staff
  • Standard hospital safety and operational protocols observed
