Pharmacist | Payson, Illinois

An inpatient pharmacist position is available for an experienced professional to work overnight shifts at a 327-bed hospital. This role requires expertise in inpatient pharmacy services, with a focus on supporting patient care during the overnight hours. The work schedule follows a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation, working from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Location:

• Payson, IL (near the southwest border of Illinois, close to Missouri)
• Closest larger cities: Springfield, IL and St. Louis, MO

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services during the overnight shift
• Prepare and make intravenous (IV) medications as needed
• Utilize AllScripts electronic medical record (EMR) system (experience highly preferred)
• Manage medication dispensing using Omnicell automated cabinets
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience required
• Previous overnight shift experience is a strong plus
• Proficiency or willingness to learn AllScripts EMR system preferred
• Ability and willingness to prepare IV medications as needed
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Schedule:

• Overnight shift, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
• Flexibility to accommodate this schedule is essential

• Duration: 10-13 weeks
