This opportunity invites skilled pharmacists to bring their expertise to a unique, remote tribal healthcare setting in Arizona. Two full-time travel pharmacist roles are available at a tribal clinic and hospital, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact within the community.

Positions Available:

  • Outpatient Clinic Pharmacist
  • Night Shift Emergency Department Pharmacist (must have clinical experience and willingness to obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications). This is a decentralized ED pharmacist role requiring proactive clinical involvement.

Location: Peridot, AZ – a beautiful, serene setting ideal for professionals seeking a change from urban environments and a chance to serve in a tribal healthcare facility.

Schedule:

  • Typically 10-hour shifts, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid pharmacist license from any state (Arizona license not required due to tribal facility status)
  • Minimum of 1+ year hospital experience or completion of residency preferred
  • Strong clinical skills, especially for the ED role
  • Willingness to work in a remote setting
  • Positive attitude and adaptability in a unique healthcare environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert pharmacy services in the outpatient or emergency department settings
  • Participate in clinical activities including medication reviews, patient counseling, and collaboration with healthcare teams
  • Use RPMS, a proprietary electronic system similar to the VA’s VistA, for patient records and medication management
  • For the ED role, actively engage in critical care scenarios with required certifications obtained
