A unique opportunity is available for two full-time pharmacists at a tribal hospital and outpatient clinic in Peridot, Arizona. These roles involve providing pharmacy services in a remote, tribal healthcare setting that does not require an Arizona pharmacist license, making this ideal for candidates licensed in any state.

Position Details:

  • One pharmacist will work in the outpatient clinic during daytime shifts.
  • One pharmacist will serve as a night shift Emergency Department pharmacist requiring clinical experience and willingness to obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. This is a true decentralized ED pharmacist role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in the outpatient and emergency settings.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to provide medication therapy management and clinical support.
  • Utilize proprietary RPMS software—similar to the VA’s VISTA system—for patient records and pharmacy operations.
  • Maintain compliance with tribal hospital protocols and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed pharmacist (any state license accepted).
  • At least one year of hospital experience or completion of residency preferred.
  • Clinical experience required for the ED night shift pharmacist role.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, adaptable attitude.
  • Willingness to work in a remote tribal clinic/hospital environment.
  • Willingness to obtain BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications for the ED role.

Schedule:

  • Generally 10-hour shifts, typically from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Housing:

  • Shared on-campus housing is available at approximately $400 per month.
  • Accommodations include private bedrooms with shared bathrooms and kitchen, arranged in non-coed apartments housing three individuals.
