A pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to join a healthcare facility in Perry, GA, on a 9-week contract basis. This position offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment where patient care and medication safety are top priorities.

Schedule & Location:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Possible weekend rotation
  • Located in Perry, GA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and identify overuse patterns
  • Ensure medication supply adheres to legal standards
  • Verify the suitability of prescribed medications for patients
  • Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files meticulously
  • Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions
  • Offer additional health services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure, and cholesterol management
  • Educate patients on proper use of medical devices like glucose meters and blood pressure monitors
  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following protocols
  • Supervise pharmacy staff including pharmacy technicians and clerks
  • Manage pharmaceutical and medical supplies inventory
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare practitioners to identify and resolve drug-related problems

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Georgia Pharmacist license (must have license in-hand)
  • Retail pharmacy experience is welcome; training will be provided for retail pharmacists new to clinical or institutional settings
  • Strong communication and supervisory skills
  • Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
