An opportunity is available for a dedicated and experienced pharmacist to oversee pharmacy operations at a busy retail location. This direct hire position offers a dynamic work environment with variable schedules, including evening shifts and extended hours such as 4x10 or 4x12 shifts from 8 AM to 8 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the registered supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge, ensuring compliance with state board of pharmacy and federal regulations.
  • Manage pharmacy operations to meet financial objectives, including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, third-party administration, and inventory control.
  • Lead and develop pharmacy support personnel by providing training, guidance, and performance management.
  • Promote pharmacy services through business development efforts within the store and the local community.
  • Provide patient-centered care by counseling patients and healthcare providers on medications, dosages, interactions, and side effects.
  • Deliver immunization, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and wellness programs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized pharmacy environment adhering to company and legal standards.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement programs to optimize patient safety.
  • Fulfill continuing education requirements as mandated by state law.

Qualifications:

  • Current New York State pharmacist license.
  • Valid immunization certification with comfort in administering all required vaccines.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
