An immediate opportunity is available for inpatient pharmacists to support day and evening shifts in a hospital setting located in Philadelphia, PA. This role is vital in ensuring safe, effective medication therapy through collaborative care and detailed clinical review.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing medication orders from physicians and advanced practice providers to confirm accuracy and appropriateness, including drug selection, dosage, frequency, and route
  • Assessing patient allergies, medical histories, drug interactions, and pertinent lab results prior to medication dispensing
  • Dispensing medications in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines
  • Providing drug information and clinical support to the interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Supervising pharmacy technicians and pharmacy students to uphold safe medication preparation practices
  • Supporting inventory control processes within the pharmacy
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team on discharge planning and continuum of care activities

Qualifications or Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy is required; PharmD preferred
  • Minimum of one year of hospital pharmacy experience or APPE experience in a clinical/hospital setting preferred
  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
