Pharmacist - Philadelphia, PA

A specialty compounding pharmacy in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a licensed pharmacist to oversee daily operations and ensure high-quality pharmaceutical care during a 13-week contract-to-hire assignment. This role involves supervising fulfillment personnel, handling prescription orders, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements to support patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include overseeing the preparation and processing of prescriptions according to prescriber and patient specifications, participating in shipping and handling when needed, and ensuring accuracy in documentation and pharmaceutical techniques. The pharmacist will also assess patient demographics, review medication histories, develop individualized care plans, and monitor drug therapies to optimize therapeutic outcomes. Counseling patients on prescription, OTC medications, and nutritional supplements is a key component of the role.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM

Qualifications:

• Active PA Pharmacist license is required
• Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and compounding processes
• Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
