Join a growing specialty compounding pharmacy dedicated to creating personalized medications tailored to each patient's unique needs. This 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for pharmacists with sterile compounding experience who are passionate about quality, compliance, and patient care. New graduates with a sterile compounding background are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and oversee sterile and non-sterile compounded preparations for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards.
  • Follow and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
  • Perform pharmaceutical calculations and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Utilize proper aseptic technique during sterile compounding.
  • Prepare and inspect work areas before production.
  • Operate and monitor production equipment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure the purity, potency, and accuracy of compounded medications.
  • Provide patient counseling on compounded, prescription, and over-the-counter medications.
  • Support pharmacy operations and dispensing activities as needed.
  • Stay current on compounding regulations, techniques, and industry best practices.

Work Hours

  • 13-week contract with the potential for permanent hire
  • Monday - Friday

Experience

  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required.
  • Recent pharmacy experience required.
  • Sterile compounding experience required.
  • Experience with non-sterile compounding is a plus.
  • New graduates with sterile compounding experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong understanding of USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines preferred.

Education

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in good standing.
