Join a growing specialty compounding pharmacy dedicated to creating personalized medications tailored to each patient's unique needs. This 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for pharmacists with sterile compounding experience who are passionate about quality, compliance, and patient care. New graduates with a sterile compounding background are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Verify and oversee sterile and non-sterile compounded preparations for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards.
- Follow and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
- Perform pharmaceutical calculations and maintain accurate documentation.
- Utilize proper aseptic technique during sterile compounding.
- Prepare and inspect work areas before production.
- Operate and monitor production equipment while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure the purity, potency, and accuracy of compounded medications.
- Provide patient counseling on compounded, prescription, and over-the-counter medications.
- Support pharmacy operations and dispensing activities as needed.
- Stay current on compounding regulations, techniques, and industry best practices.
Work Hours
- 13-week contract with the potential for permanent hire
- Monday - Friday
Experience
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required.
- Recent pharmacy experience required.
- Sterile compounding experience required.
- Experience with non-sterile compounding is a plus.
- New graduates with sterile compounding experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines preferred.
Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in good standing.
