Support pharmacy operations within a well-established food and pharmacy setting featuring 38 locations throughout the greater Phoenix, AZ area. This per diem pharmacist role provides coverage for call-outs, vacations, and volume spikes to maintain seamless pharmacy service and patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently, managing an average daily volume of 100-125 Rx
- Administer immunizations and provide patient consultations
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians who provide strong operational support
- Utilize QS1 pharmacy software effectively for dispensing and recordkeeping
- Participate in an initial 8-hour training shift with additional training available as needed
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
Schedule:
- Monday through Saturday, typical pharmacy hours 10 AM – 7 PM (some locations may close at 8 PM)
- Per diem shifts with flexible scheduling; ideal candidates are available 2-4 days per week to support fluctuating needs
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Arizona pharmacist license
- Minimum 1-2 years retail pharmacy experience preferred; 5+ years for highest compensation consideration
- Immunization privileges and a current BLS certification required
- Experience with QS1 software is strongly preferred
- Ability to travel to multiple pharmacy sites within the Phoenix metro area; mileage reimbursement and travel stipends are available for longer distances
