Provide expert pharmaceutical care as a licensed Ohio hospital pharmacist in a dynamic medical center setting. This unique role offers independence and responsibility, functioning as the sole pharmacist overnight with skilled technician support. The position is structured on a 7-days on/7-days off schedule, running from Thursday night through Thursday morning, ideal for professionals seeking focused work periods and balanced time off.

Location: Pickerington, OH
Job Type: Contract
Schedule:

  • 7-days on / 7-days off
  • On-week hours: 8:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Thursday night to Thursday morning)
  • Sole pharmacist coverage from 11:30 PM to 6:00 AM with Certified Pharmacy Technician support

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately review, interpret, and dispense medication orders and prescriptions.
  • Monitor and manage patient drug therapies to ensure efficacy, safety, and appropriateness.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital pharmacy policies, quality programs, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide drug information and counseling to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies, assisting with medication preparation and ensuring adequate drug supplies.
  • Coordinate pharmacy technician activities to support patient and organizational needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree from an accredited American college of pharmacy.
  • Valid Ohio pharmacy license in good standing.
  • Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with medical staff and patients.
