A hospital is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide essential pharmaceutical care during the night shift. This role offers a unique opportunity to independently manage medication therapy within a hospital setting, ensuring safe and effective treatment for patients. The position features a consistent work schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off, with hours from 8:00 PM to 7:30 AM, providing a work-life balance that supports personal time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, interpret, and verify medication orders and prescriptions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Monitor patient medication regimens to ensure therapeutic appropriateness, adjusting as necessary based on patient age and condition.
  • Maintain compliance with departmental policies, regulations, and quality improvement programs.
  • Provide drug information and consultation to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Respond to medical emergencies by assisting in medication preparation and ensuring availability of necessary drug supplies.
  • Coordinate pharmacy technician activities during overnight shifts, ensuring smooth operations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • Valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
  • Minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and patients.
  • Ability to work independently during overnight hours (11:30 PM – 6:00 AM) as the sole pharmacist with Certified Pharmacy Technician support.

Shift Details:

  • 7 days on/7 days off rotation
  • Night shift: 8:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Sole pharmacist coverage between 11:30 PM and 6:00 AM
