A pharmacist opportunity is available at a 200+ bed community hospital in Pineville, LA, offering a dynamic and engaging work environment. This role involves working in a fast-paced hospital setting, utilizing IT systems like EPIC and Pyxis to efficiently support patient care.

Schedule and Location:

• Pineville, LA
• 4 ten-hour shifts per week
• Rotating schedule with varied shifts including 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• Every other weekend rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Order verification ensuring accurate and timely medication dispensing
• Supervising and coordinating pharmacy technicians
• Consulting with physicians and nurses to optimize medication therapy
• Applying pharmacokinetics principles in patient care decisions
• Maintaining compliance with hospital policies and standards

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in the state
• Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
