Pharmacist - Pineville, Louisiana

This opportunity is for a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee pharmacy operations at an Opioid Treatment Center on a part-time basis. The position is a one-year contract with potential for extension or direct hire, offering a chance to apply your expertise in a focused healthcare environment.

Schedule and Location:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
• 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM (20 hours per week)
• Alexandria, Louisiana

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge and manage all pharmacy operations
• Verify and fill prescriptions, especially in the absence of a technician
• Conduct chart reviews and maintain detailed documentation
• Complete interior reports and forms using Microsoft Excel
• Ensure strict compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Work independently when technician support is unavailable
• Limited patient interaction, except when requested
• No billing or insurance tasks are involved

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Pharmacist license in good standing with no negative history
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience
• Substance abuse or opioid treatment experience preferred but not mandatory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
