This opportunity is for a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee pharmacy operations at an Opioid Treatment Center on a part-time basis. The position is a one-year contract with potential for extension or direct hire, offering a chance to apply your expertise in a focused healthcare environment.
Schedule and Location:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
- 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM (20 hours per week)
- Alexandria, Louisiana
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge and manage all pharmacy operations
- Verify and fill prescriptions, especially in the absence of a technician
- Conduct chart reviews and maintain detailed documentation
- Complete interior reports and forms using Microsoft Excel
- Ensure strict compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Work independently when technician support is unavailable
- Limited patient interaction, except when requested
- No billing or insurance tasks are involved
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana Pharmacist license in good standing with no negative history
- 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience
- Substance abuse or opioid treatment experience preferred but not mandatory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
