Pharmacist - Pineville, Louisiana

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist at a 200+ bed community hospital located in Pineville, LA. The position requires immediate availability and offers a varied, rotating schedule with four 10-hour shifts per week.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders for accuracy and safety
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
• Consulting with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care
• Managing pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
• Utilizing IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis to support pharmacy operations

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with current credentials
• Proven ability to perform order verification and clinical consultation
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians in a hospital setting
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated medication dispensing
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach to patient care
