Short-Term Hospital Contract | Day Shift

Looking for a short-term hospital pharmacy opportunity with a consistent weekday schedule? A psychiatric hospital in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide coverage throughout October, with the possibility of an extension.

Opportunity Details: 

• Location: Pittsburgh, PA
• Setting: Psychiatric Hospital
• Contract: October 1st –31st, with possible extension
• Schedule: Monday through Friday  7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• Not temp-to-hire position

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Perform pharmacy order entry and medication verification
• Work with automated dispensing machines
• Ensure safe and appropriate medication use
• Communicate with physicians, nurses, administrators, and other hospital staff
• Support day-to-day pharmacy operations and maintain a high level of accuracy and patient safety

Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong order entry and verification skills
• Experience with automated dispensing machines
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
