Pharmacist - Plover, WI

A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in Northern Central WI serving a small 40-bed hospital. This contract role offers a dynamic environment supporting a diverse inpatient pharmacy with a census of around 30-40 patients. The hospital provides services including inpatient and outpatient surgery, Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, and emergency department care.

Schedule options include 4 ten-hour day shifts per week (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.) with rotating weekends or a blocked 7-on, 7-off day shift schedule, providing flexibility to suit your work-life balance. The assignment begins ASAP and is expected to last 13 weeks or longer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple concurrent tasks in a central inpatient pharmacy.
• Verify medication orders in EPIC and oversee pharmacy technician work.
• Handle pharmacist phone calls and provide expert pharmaceutical guidance.
• Dispense inpatient and outpatient intravenous medications, unit dose meds, and outpatient chemotherapy.
• Support inpatient census typically ranging between 30-40 patients in diverse clinical areas including Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, oncology, surgery, and ED.

Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist licensure and credentials.
• Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic medical records systems.
• Experience in inpatient pharmacy operations including chemotherapy preparation.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong communication skills and pharmaceutical knowledge across specialties.
