A part-time Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) opportunity is available at an Opioid Treatment Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. This contract position offers a 1-year term with potential for extension or transition to a permanent role. The schedule includes 20 hours per week, working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

Responsibilities include overseeing pharmacy operations while serving as the Pharmacist in Charge. Key duties involve performing thorough chart reviews, verifying prescriptions, and filling prescriptions when pharmacy technicians are unavailable. The role also requires completing internal reports and forms primarily using Microsoft Excel, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. This position demands the ability to work independently, with limited patient interaction unless specifically requested. There are no billing or insurance tasks associated with this role.

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Pharmacist license in good standing with no negative history
• 3–5 years of pharmacy experience required
• Experience in substance abuse or opioid treatment is preferred but not mandatory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
