An opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide professional pharmacy services at a 200+ bed community hospital in the Alexandria, LA area. This contract role offers a dynamic schedule and the chance to impact patient care through collaboration with medical staff and pharmacy teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations.
• Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication management and pharmacokinetics.
• Utilize hospital IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication tracking and documentation.
• Support pharmacy operations while maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Louisiana pharmacist license required.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred to navigate clinical and operational demands.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Schedule and Location:

• Based in Alexandria, LA with potential for assignments in the Pollock, LA area.
• 13-week contract position starting ASAP.
• Four 10-hour shifts per week.
• Rotating schedule with varied shifts including 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM–11:00 PM.
• Every other weekend rotation.
